In 1995, Dale Alexander, the son of a superintendent and teacher, founded Alexander & Company. Coming from a financial planning background, Dale, a Certified Financial Planner, CFP®, realized that the most effective use of his experience and expertise would be in serving the masses as a financial advisor through employee benefits, as a macro-level planner. Because of his parent’s strong influence, Dale’s heart is focused on the educational community. For his exceptional work in the school employee benefits arena, Dale is a past recipient of the national “Employee Benefit Adviser of the Year” by Employee Benefit Adviser magazine. This is an award and honor for which our firm is extremely proud.
While there are several reputable consultant/brokers in the Southeast, none specialize solely with public school systems to the size and degree we do. The choice to work with public K-12 schools as an independent broker is very rare and makes our firm unique. Led by highly credentialed financial planners and insurance professionals, our mission of financial planning at the workplace is nationally recognized. With over 80 school systems as clients, our firm knows the unique challenges schools face. Our proven and measurable process to create Seven Outcomes has set us apart from other firms.
Alexander & Company provides a unique team concept approach. Each of our teams has a blended skill set while functioning as a cohesive group to provide excellent outcomes for our clients. Our company was founded on solid financial planning principles, and we view our work as macro financial planners. Most Americans will do most of their financial planning (protecting their biggest financial risks) at their place of employment. For that reason, our purpose is simple.
